There are many choices
of roof coatings on the market today, with silicone ranking as a premium option for unrivaled renewal and restoration of just about any aging flat roof. In fact, KARNAK’s silicone coating system (670HS Karna-Sil™ Ultra) features advanced silicone chemistry that delivers assurance of long-term protection and exceeds the performance of other roof coatings.
Karnak 670HS Karna-Sil™.
is a white, low-VOC single component, moisture curing silicone roof coating that produces a durable elastic coating with exceptional weathering and water resistance characteristics.
The cured silicone coating provides a proven solution for renewing weathered roofs and can be applied to virtually any existing roof system to create a seamless water-resistant membrane for superior protection against ponding water, UV light and severe weather.
Warranted options are available
by speaking with a KARNAK Technical Sales Representative. The board of this Sage Condominium community in Florida were thrilled with their KARNAK restoration that came with a 20-year warranty. They were able to have their roof restoration completed with very little disruption and at a much lower cost than a traditional roof replacement.
670HS Karna-Sil Ultra is designed for
application over low-sloped “flat” asphalt roofs, smooth or granule SBS and APP modified bitumen membranes roofs, EPDM, aged TPO, PVC and Hypalon®, concrete, wood, fiberglass, metal, wood, Spray Polyurethane Foam roofing and over most existing roof coatings. Some surfaces require the use of 180 Karna-Sil Epoxy Primer.
Benefits of the system include:
- Silicone is permanent and will not degrade, chalk or crack under harsh UV rays.
- 670HS Karna-Sil Ultra is NSF Rated for potable rainwater catchment systems.
- The cured silicone film forms a seamless membrane that creates a smooth surface offering excellent resistance to mold, mildew and staining that also withstands permanent ponding water without softening.
670HS Karna-Sil Ultra is ENERGY STAR-Rated,
helping buildings qualify for LEED Certification. When properly installed, the coating may help keep interior building temperatures cooler and potentially reduce building operating costs.
