230-2% Neo-Asphalt is expressly designed for adhering concrete, brick and pressed asphalt brick pavers to horizontal surfaces.
Weight per Gallon: 8.5 lbs
Solids by Weight: 70% Nominal
Solids by Volume: 63% Nominal
Color: Black
Softening Point of rubber blend: 150°F
% Inorganic Materia: 18
% Long Fiber: 10
% Neoprene: 2, minimum
Application Temp.: 40°F to 120°F
SURFACE PREPARATION:
All surfaces should be clean, free from oil, grease or other foreign matter. Recommended application temperature is 40°F to 120°F. If applying at temperatures lower than 40°F, the substrate must be free of moisture and/or ice crystals.
APPLICATION:
230-2% Neo-Asphalt can be applied to either concrete or macadam (blacktop) using a 1/16” serrated trowel. For best results, 230 2% Neo-Asphalt should be allowed to have a minimum of 2-3 hours open airtime or until material becomes tacky and just skins over, prior to embedding the paving bricks. Recommended application temperature 40°F to 120°F. If applying at temperatures lower than 40°F, the substrate must be free of moisture and/or ice crystals.
COVERAGE RATE:
Apply at the rate of 1.5 - 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. (approximately 1/32” thick maximum). Do not exceed coverage rate.
Do not use near open flame. Avoid breathing solvent fumes and prolonged contact with skin. Do not take internally. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a heated room and keep container covered when not in use. Do not thin. Dispose of in an environmentally safe manner. For exterior use only
Care of Tools:
Tools and other equipment should be thoroughly cleaned with mineral spirits, taking necessary precautions when handling combustible materials.
