Application Temp.: 40°F to 120°F
Set Time: 24-48 hours at 77°F and 50% relative humidity
Full System Cure: Approximately 30 days
Service Temp(Cured Film): -15°F to 180°F
SURFACE PREPARATIONS:
All surfaces should be free from oil, grease, dirt and loose materials. All BUR surfaces should be patched and repaired with 19 Ultra Rubberized Flashing Cement and 31 Glass Membrane. Metal surfaces must have all rust and scales removed. Recommended application temperature is 40°F to 120°F. If applying at temperatures lower than 40°F, the substrate must be free of moisture and/or ice crystals.
APPLICATION:
Apply 66 Modified Bitumen Adhesive Brush Grade on Horizontal surfaces at a rate of approximately 1-2 gallons per 100 square feet; irregular surfaces may require slightly more material. Do not apply adhesive directly to decking or sheathing. On Vertical surfaces apply 66 Modified Bitumen Adhesive Trowel Grade at 1/8” thickness (approx. 8 gallons per 100 sq. feet.). 66 Modified Bitumen Adhesive may be applied by serrated squeegee, roller, brush or trowel. Application of one or multiple layer(s), allow a minimum of 15-20 minutes open air time before applying Cap Sheet or before each layer. Do not exceed 2 layers when installing with adhesive. Cover all air intakes during application and while drying. Application thickness, temperature, and number of membranes dictate how long it will take for the product to fully dry. Please consult membrane manufacturer for specific information and installation regarding their product.
COVERAGE RATE:
Apply 66 Modified Bitumen Adhesive Brush Grade at the rate of 1 to 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. On porous or irregular surfaces, 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. may be required. 66 Modified Bitumen Adhesive Trowel Grade should be applied at 1/8” thickness (approx. 8 gallons per 100 sq. feet.)
Do not use near open flame. Material is for building exterior applications only. Avoid breathing solvent fumes and prolonged contact with skin. Excessive application may create blistering. Application at temperatures below 40°F may take longer to cure. Do not take internally. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. Keep out of reach of children. Keep container covered when not in use. Do not thin. Dispose of in an environmentally safe manner. Insure that proper ventilation is maintained during application and drying to prevent solvent fumes from entering the building. Exterior use only.
