71 Fibered Asphalt Roof Coating is a superior quality roof coating consisting of selected asphalts, mineral fibers and mineral spirits. 71 Fibered Asphalt Roof Coating is designed to provide excellent weathering protection on most roof surfaces. It may be applied to smooth surface BUR, SBS modified bitumen membranes, metal roof surfaces and roll roofing as a protective coating. The coating forms a tough, elastic film to help protect the underlying roof system.

All roof surfaces should be swept clean of all dust and dirt. All blisters and breaks should be repaired with 19 Ultra Rubberized Flashing Cement or 19 Flashing Cement in a three-course application utilizing 34 Asphalt Cotton Membrane, 31 Fiberglass Membrane or 5540 Resat-Mat fabric reinforcement.
APPLICATION:
71 Fibered Asphalt Roof Coating may be applied by brush or heavy duty spray equipment. Apply at the rate of 4 gallons per 100 sq. ft. For applications by brush, 71 Fibered Asphalt Roof Coating is easily applied by pouring directly from the container and spreading with a wide fiber roof brush. Spray applications are easily and efficiently applied on large areas with either a standard type mastic pump or using airless spray equipment.

Cold-process systems and coatings, either emulsion or solvent-based, should only be installed on decks with positive drainage.
