VOC Content: 0 g/L
720 EPDM Rubber Granules are designed to create slip resistant walkways and surfaces when installed in combination with one of KARNAK’s elastomeric roof coatings.
Specific Gravity: 1.4 to 1.6 G/cc
Bulk Density: 41 lbs./ft.3, Nominal
Size: 1 to 3mm
Color: Safety Yellow
Hardness, Shore A: 55-70
Elongation: 650-700%, Nominal
Tensile Strength: 750-800 PSI, Nominal
SURFACE PREPARATIONS:
Surfaces where 720 EPDM Rubber Granules are to be installed must be dry, clean and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil and loose paint. Follow surface preparation guidelines for the selected coating product in which 720 EPDM Rubber Granules are to be broadcast over.
APPLICATION:
Follow the application guidelines of the selected finish coating in which 720 EPDM Rubber Granules will be embed. Once the system’s finish coat has cured, working in small sections, apply another coat of the same finish coating at the rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. Immediately broadcast 720 EPDM Rubber Granules by hand into the wet coating at the rate of 30 to 40 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. for a slip resistant finish or continue adding to reach desired color saturation level. For optimum color display do not back-roll granules into the wet coating. Allow coating to dry then remove excess granules using a blower.
COVERAGE RATE:
Install by broadcasting at the rate of 30 to 40 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. or continue adding to reach desired color saturation level.
COLORS:
Safety Yellow
Do not install into coating when rain is imminent. Coating must be dried before exposure to water. Keep out of reach of children. Cold-process systems and coatings, either emulsion or solvent-based, should only be installed on decks with positive drainage. Per NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association), “The criteria for judging proper slope for drainage is that there be no evidence of standing water on a deck 48 hours after it stops raining.
